The new elevated deck is expected to significantly improve crowd movement at the station, officials said

The elevated deck measures 60 metres in length and 10 metres in width

It has been constructed over Platforms 6 and 7 and is equipped with 3-metre-wide staircases, officials said

Railway officials said the deck will help passengers move more smoothly between platforms, especially during peak travel hours

Vasai Road is among the busiest stations on the Western Railway suburban network, and the new infrastructure is aimed at improving passenger safety and convenience
