The blaze was reported at the warehouse located near Dockyard Road Railway Station on P D Mello Road in the Wadi Bunder area of South Mumbai

The Mumbai Fire Department officials present at the site said the incident was reported to authorities at 11:53 pm

Following the incident, emergency services were rushed to the spot, and a firefighting operation was launched

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) initially declared the fire Level I at 11:50 pm and later upgraded it to Level II at 11:53 pm

Multiple agencies were mobilised to tackle the fire, including Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), Mumbai Police, BEST, PWD, BPT, 108 ambulance services and local BMC ward staff
