A major fire broke out in a commercial high-rise at Jogeshwari, Mumbai, early Thursday morning. Flames spread across the 9th to 12th floors, prompting a level 3 alert. Amid the blaze, 10-15 persons are stranded in another wing of the building. One of the civic officials said, "They are safe, and the rescue operation is underway"

With the fire being escalated to level 3, the fire brigade official said that at least 12 fire engines and other firefighting equipment are being used to control the blaze

The situation seems quite concerning, as various agencies and civic officials have been mobilised at the scene

The rescue operation for the trapped people was carried out by firemen donning breathing apparatus (BA) sets, along with ventilation operations

As per the MFB, the fire is confined to the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th floors of the building. Authorities also informed that flames are shooting out of a ground-plus-upper-thirteen-floor glass-facade commercial building

With no injury reported as of now, massive crowd gathered around the locality
