The incident occurred in the Sheetal Nagar area, where a developer had set up about 20 to 25 temporary tin huts for his labourers on an open plot

Around noon, a short circuit in one of the huts sparked the fire. At the time, two to three labourers were present inside

The fire spread rapidly in the afternoon heat, triggering explosions of two to three gas cylinders stored inside the huts

Upon receiving an alert, the municipal fire department reached the site immediately and managed to control the blaze within about an hour

No injuries were reported in the incident, officials said
