People lit diyas (small oil lamps), shared sweets, and exchanged warm wishes
Children clapped in excitement as fireworks lit up the sky, painting it with red, gold, blue and green
The sounds bursting crackers filled the air as Marine Drive turned into a glowing display of joy and unity
As part of security measures, police and civic officials were present to manage the crowds and ensure public safety
The civic officials had earlier asked citizens to celebrate in a safe and responsible way
