An official statement said that various departments under the Cultural Affairs Department have organised multiple activities, programmes, celebrations and competitions for the upcoming festival

The grandeur of the festival has now spread beyond Maharashtra, being celebrated in Gujarat, Telangana, Delhi, and even abroad

The Maharashtra government will hold lecture series, spiritual theatre festivals, drone shows, release of commemorative postal stamps, beautification of prominent localities and grand illumination displays, adding to the magnificence of the Maha Ganeshotsav

For the 'Rajya Mahotsav', the government has launched a portal for the devotees. At MSRDC office in suburban Mumbai's Bandra, Shelar launched the anthem "Aala re aala… Rajya Mahotsav aala…" along with the portal ganeshotsav.pldmka.co.in

For public mandals, the Mumbai civic body has launched a single-window online permission system for pandal approvals. Since the launch of this portal on July 21, more than 1,150 mandals have received permission for pandals
