The Air Quality Index (AQI) was on Friday morning recorded at 63 which is 'satisfactory' 

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), maximum and minimum temperatures were on January 2, 2026 expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius, respectively

Mumbai was on Friday likely to experience a partly cloudy morning with haze, clearing up to a mainly clear sky, the weather department predicted earlier in the day

The air quality across Mumbai remained mostly in the satisfactory and in some parts it was recorded in moderate range on Friday

The Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) recorded an AQI of 89, while Byculla and Deonar reported 78 each. Andheri registered an AQI of 68, and Borivali stood at 64
