People were seen carrying the idol of Jijamata Nagarcha Raja from a workshop in Parel to its worship venue

Devotees were seen walking along the streets as they brought the beautifully crafted idol to its home for the upcoming festival

Similarly, the idol of Khetwadi-cha-Raja, another well-known Ganesha, was also carried from the same Parel workshop to its worship site

The event drew enthusiastic crowds who came to catch a glimpse of the idol and take part in the celebrations

The festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god known as the remover of obstacles

In another grand welcome, the idol of Kalachauki-cha-Mahaganpati was taken from the Parel workshop to its worship venue

The procession included chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya,” and colourful decorations

Preparations across Mumbai have already started with great energy and devotion for the upcoming Ganesh festival
