Pune City is expanding at a significant pace, and 220 development projects have been undertaken in the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) with a total approved fund of Rs 32,523 crore, CM Fadnavis said

He directed that city development plans be prepared only after completing road development planning

Fadnavis said that while preparing the “Structure Plan” for Pune within the stipulated timeframe, future population growth and urbanisation should be focused

He stressed that the overall development of a region should be handled by a single authority, rather than dividing responsibilities among multiple agencies

The Chief Minister also instructed that development planning of the 23 villages merged into Pune Municipal Corporation on June 30, 2021, should be carried out by PMC
