According to officials, the record reflects the state’s strong push towards clean energy, improved farm irrigation, and better livelihoods for farmers

MSEDCL said it achieved this milestone through structured planning and a farmer-first approach

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his transformative PM-KUSUM initiative, in one month, we have installed more than 45,911 solar pumps across the state, making Maharashtra the No. 1 state in India for solar agriculture"

Officials said the model can be replicated across India and other developing countries as a sustainable path to clean agriculture

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the achievement and said it strengthens Maharashtra’s move towards sustainable farming
