During the early hours of Thursday, some areas of the city continued to receive showers through the night.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a generally cloudy sky for Mumbai and its suburbs on August 7.
IMD has also predicted the possibility of light rain or thundershowers in some areas.
IMD issued the nowcast warning at 7:00 AM on Thursday, stating that the light spells of rain are very likely to occur at isolated places across the districts of Mumbai and Thane over the next three to four hours.
People across the city were seen carrying their umbrellas after a few days of break from the Mumbai monsoon.
With the monsoon already lashing heavily in other parts of the country, Mumbai is also expecting heavy rainfall in the coming few days.
