Ahead of the launch, “Maha Mumbai Metro” signboards have been installed at key stations on the corridor

Talking to reporters earlier, Sarnaik had said that the inauguration of the service got delayed due to certain factors

"We were waiting for the safety nod first, which we have received...Now the date is set for the inauguration of the route," Sarnaik had said

Once this service starts, people in the region will be relieved as this was a long-pending demand, he had said

Despite the preparations, some work was on Sunday morning was seen being incomplete and final touches pending

At Miragaon Metro Station, the northern escalator was seen as yet to be readied for public use

At Pandurangwadi Metro Station, the southern entrance and exit, on Sunday morning, were yet to be given final touches

Once operational, Metro Line 9 is expected to significantly enhance public transport options for residents of Dahisar, Mira Road and Bhayandar, offering a faster and more efficient travel alternative

At Pandurangwadi Metro Station, located at Ketkipada on the Western Express Highway in Mira Road (East), the signage has been put in place, signalling readiness for operations

The inauguration was supposed to happen on April 6, but it has now been rescheduled to April 7

Kashigaon Metro Station opening has been delayed again as work remains incomplete

This is the third delay for Kashigaon Metro Station inauguration in Mira-Bhayander

On Monday, workers were cleaning and preparing the station for its inauguration

 The station, which was scheduled to be opened to the public on Monday, April 6, has seen its inauguration postponed for the third time, officials said
