The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic arrangements for the Makhdoom Shah Baba Dargah Urs

The event attracts huge number of devotees, along with traditional sandal processions

The first 'sandal' to the 14th century Sufi saint Makhdum Fakih Ali Mahimi begin each year from the Mahim Police station

To ensure smooth movement of vehicles and prevent congestion, Balmiya Lane--from Mumbai Darbar to Kapad Bazar Chowki--will be closed to traffic during this period. Parking on the lane will also be prohibited

North-bound vehicles will be diverted via a right turn from Kapad Bazar onto L.J. Road, and after 1:30 pm, motorists will be able to use Cadel Road. South-bound traffic will also use L.J. Road and Cadel Road between 7:00 am and 1:30 pm, a traffic police notification said
