The date for opening these flyovers to traffic will soon be finalised in coordination with the traffic department.

To ensure seamless traffic flow in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has undertaken the construction of various flyovers, railway overbridges, pedestrian bridges, and skywalks across the city

The BMC’s Bridge Department has completed several new flyovers, and work on several more, including the Carnac and Vikhroli railway flyovers, is progressing steadily

Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects), Abhijit Bangar, in coordination with the Bridge Department, has set the timelines for the construction, structural work, and ancillary tasks of both the Carnac and Vikhroli flyovers

Bangar stated that the reconstruction of the Carnac Flyover, declared dangerous by Central Railway, has been undertaken by the BMC

The flyover spans 70 meters within railway limits, 155 metres on the eastern side (P D’Mello Road), and 255 metres on the western side (Mohammed Ali Road)
