Many parts of Mumbai received rain on Tuesday evening when the city was celebrating Diwali. Earlier in the day, the city reeled under intense heat in the afternoon. Despite the light to moderate showers, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, with IMD predicting it to touch 37 degrees Celsius later in the day (PICS/SAYYED SAMEER ABEDI, ASHISH RAJE, and ATUL KAMBLE)
