The Bombay High Court has stated that citizens can burst firecrackers only between 7 pm and 10 pm
According to BMC, even if they have issued guidelines, formed squads and started taking action, no restrictions on bursting crackers were imposed by civic authorities as well as the state government
BMC's ward offices and Mumbai Police will monitor the bursting of firecrackers as per the Bombay High court’s orders
BMC has set up 95 squads across Mumbai at the ward level which will monitor the bursting of crackers
