The demonstration was held outside the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, where party leaders and workers gathered to draw attention to the economic challenges faced by citizens.

Speaking about the protest, NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar said unemployment and inflation had made life increasingly difficult for ordinary people. He stated that the party organised a symbolic demonstration by lighting a stove on the street to underscore the daily struggles faced by households amid rising living costs.

According to Pawar, the protest was aimed at drawing the government's attention to issues affecting the common man and urging it to take corrective measures.

Several senior leaders of the party participated in the protest, including MP Supriya Sule, Maharashtra unit president Shashikant Shinde, and MLA Jitendra Awhad. Other party office-bearers, workers and local residents were also present.

Pawar said that if the government failed to address concerns related to inflation and unemployment, public discontent could intensify.

He added that people affected by rising prices may be compelled to launch larger protests in the future if their concerns remain unaddressed.

The NCP (SP) has been raising issues related to inflation, employment and the cost of living as part of its broader campaign against the state and central governments' economic policies.
