Following the incident, teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Fire Brigade (MFB), Mumbai Police, 108 Ambulance services, BEST and BMC ward staff were mobilised for rescue and relief operations
One of the injured victims was taken to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (Sion Hospital), where doctors declared the person dead
According to preliminary information, welding work was being carried out on an empty gas tanker when it suddenly exploded
The impact of the blast caused fatal injuries to the tanker driver, who died in the incident
