Mumbai’s air quality on Sunday morning reached unhealthy levels

According to AQI.in, the city recorded an AQI of 210 at 8:37 am, placing it firmly in the severe category and raising concerns for people of all ages

Although temperatures throughout the day remained relatively comfortable, ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, the city felt heavy and unpleasant due to a visible haze that blurred the skyline from early morning

The main contributors are high levels of fine particulate matter

Moist air and low wind speeds have prevented the usual coastal breeze from dispersing pollutants, leaving a persistent haze over the city
