The weather department predicted that hot and humid conditions were very likely at isolated places

The daytime temperatures were expected to remain high on June 12, the IMD

The data recorded on June 12 showed that both the city and suburban observatories registered minimum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius

The IMD said the Colaba observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 30.2 degrees Celsius, while the Santacruz observatory registered 30.1 degrees Celsius

While the city continues to experience hot and humid weather, Mumbai's air quality remained within the "Satisfactory" category on Friday

Due to hot weather conditions during the afternoon hours, several citizens were also seen protecting themselves from heat

Experts suggest that during the transition between seasons (summer and monsoon), rise in temperature are sometimes common
