In a nowcast warning, the IMD Mumbai stated that isolated areas in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and the ghat regions of Pune, Nashik, Satara, and Kolhapur were likely to witness significant rainfall activity on Monday evening

It also cautioned about the possibility of thunder and lightning, which may be accompanied by gusty winds in some areas

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, the IMD's Santacruz observatory on Monday morning recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.8 degrees Celsius

The city recorded 11.92 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, while the eastern suburbs registered 22.64 mm and the western suburbs received 15.84 mm

According to the Mumbai civic body, a high tide was expected at 4:27 am with a height of 4.47 metres, followed by another high tide at 2:28 am on July 15, reaching 3.88 metres

The BMC said that a low tide will occur at 8:33 pm on Monday with a height of 1.45 metres, and the next low tide is expected at 8:07 am on July 15 at 0.97 metres
