Mumbai is likely to see thunderstorms with lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) at isolated spots early in the forecast period, gradually giving way to light rain and thundershowers, followed by isolated light showers through the week

Mumbai and Thane are both expected to witness severe weather initially (thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain, strong winds), tapering into lighter, isolated rainfall over the next few days. Precaution is advised, especially during early thunderstorms

Overall, the weekend across Mumbai Metropolitan Region — including Palghar, Thane, and Mumbai — will be marked by scattered rain activity, with possible thunder on Saturday and lighter showers by Sunday

On June 9, the weather is expected to transition to light rain at isolated places, with very likely probability on both days

In the districts of Konkan-Goa, isolated places are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds at 30–40 kmph, and light to moderate rainfall
