The celebration includes the traditional ritual of Holika dahan where a bonfire is lit to symbolise the victory of good over evil and the triumph of light over darkness.

The holika dahan will take place at BDD Chawl no 78/79 premises. Usually dahan takes place a day before rangpanchami.

It's uncommon to have a theme for holika dahan, the group has decided to base the event in the vice--rape.

The burning of this holi in essence signifies wiping out the menace of sexual crimes perpetrated in society.

The Holi celebration will bring people from diverse backgrounds and communities together, fostering camaraderie among residents.

Holi is a vibrant festival celebrated across India, marking the arrival of spring and the triumph of love and joy and people play with coloured powders and water.

A day before it, people burn bonfires known as 'Holika pyres' in public spaces, neighbourhoods, and households.
