On Monday morning, the weather department predicted that the city and its adjoining suburbs were expected to witness generally cloudy skies with light spells of rain

The IMD's Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26.5 degrees Celsius on Monday

Rainfall recorded between 08:00 hrs on August 3 and 08:00 hrs on August 4 was 0.60 mm in Mumbai city, 0.89 mm in the eastern suburbs, and 2.89 mm in the western suburbs

A high tide was expected to hit the city coast at 08:43 hrs with a height of 3.30 meters, followed by another high tide at 19:37 hrs reaching 2.88 meters. Low tide is expected at 14:49 hrs at 2.60 meters, with the next low tide occurring on August 5 at 02:18 hrs, measuring 1.44 meters, officials said
