Mid-day Impact | IN PHOTOS: Potholes at Sion's Pratiksha Nagar fixed temporarily

However, the response did little to reassure residents and commuters who face this recurring ordeal each year

Despite years of promises for permanent repairs and consistent complaints from citizens, the situation remains largely unchanged every monsoon

Heavy rains, waterlogging, poor road material and delayed repairs are some of the causes of potholes in the city

Other parts of Mumbai, too, have reported pothole-ridden stretches as the city continues to face heavy downpours

The Mumbai civic body had recently also launched a mobile application, Pothole Quickfixapp, where citizens can report about potholes and the repairs will follow
