Rahul Gandhi on Saturday launched a blistering attack on the central government for the severity of unemployment in the country, claiming that out of every 1,000 young people, only 12 managed to secure a permanent job

Gandhi stated that there are 40 crore "energetic young people" in the country who represent the nation's true strength

Gandhi argued that the primary avenues for employment have been destroyed

The area around the programme venue was dotted with different posters featuring Gandhi. Some posters praised Gandhi as ''Jan Nayak'' (leader of the masses), while others claimed he was being selective on the paper leak issue

The Congress in a post on X on Saturday said, "Let it be loud and clear: we will continue to fight for every student's future. Chhatron ki Goonj -- is poised to raise a powerful call from Prayagraj that will echo across the nation"
