Shinde said the combined strength of the Shiv Sena, BJP and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) makes Sindhudurg the only district in Konkan where Mahayuti can confidently aim for a 100 per cent victory in the upcoming Zilla Parishad elections

Shinde credited Konkan voters for Mahayuti’s recent victories in Mumbai and Thane, saying their decisive role also helped the alliance secure power in several municipal corporations and councils across Maharashtra

Describing Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti polls as “elections of party workers”, he said it is grassroots workers who shape MLAs, MPs, ministers and chief ministers

Praising senior leader Narayan Rane, Shinde said that under his guidance the Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad has emerged as a model council

He recalled Rane’s bold administrative decisions during his tenure as chief minister and opposition leader, particularly his swift action on dangerous buildings, which he said saved thousands of homes

Shinde said several Mahayuti candidates have already been elected unopposed or by large margins and expressed confidence that the alliance would repeat its success this time
