The IAF has initiated a formal inquiry, termed a Court of Inquiry, to determine the precise cause behind this accident.

The unfortunate event unfolded in Toopran mandal within Telangana's Medak district, as reported by local authorities.

The aircraft involved was identified as a Pilatus PC 7 Mk II trainer, engaged in a routine training sortie from the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.

Sadly, both pilots aboard the aircraft suffered fatal injuries, as confirmed by an IAF official expressing deep regret over the loss.

Reports confirmed that the trainer aircraft, carrying a trainee and an instructor pilot, crashed in the Medak district.

The aircraft took off from the Air Force Academy (AFA) situated at Dundigal, located near the Hyderabad area, according to a senior police official.

The Air Force Academy authorities promptly responded to the situation, swiftly reaching the accident site to assess the situation and provide necessary assistance.
