PM Narendra Modi visited Maharashtra’s Wardha on Friday to for the ‘PM Vishwakarma’ programme

He was joined by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at the event

Skill development training centres will be established in renowned colleges across the state to provide training to youth aged 15 to 45, enabling them to become self-reliant and access various employment opportunities

During the event, PM Modi said the completion of one year of Vishwakarma Yojana will give “new energy to the resolutions of developed India” 

Around 1,50,000 youth across the state will receive free skill development training each year

During his state visit, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park at Amravati 

The 1,000-acre park is being developed by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). PM MITRA Parks will facilitate in making India a global hub for textile manufacturing and exports

PM Modi will also launch the ‘Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Center’ scheme of Government of Maharashtra

PM Modi will also launch the ‘Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme’ under which early-stage support will be given to women-led start-ups in Maharashtra
