One soldier has been injured during the exchange of fire and is being evacuated for medical care.
This follows the earlier elimination of one terrorist during the gunfight that broke out on Monday morning after a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army, J&K Police, and CRPF on the basis of specific intelligence inputs.
The encounter broke out in the Guddar forest this morning. The Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army, and the CRPF are on the site, Kashmir Zonal Police informed.
Earlier on Monday, one terrorist was also eliminated in an encounter that began in the Guddar forest of Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter was based on specific intelligence input by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and a joint search operation between the Indian Army, J&K Police, and Srinagar CRPF was conducted in the area.
