Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrested two accused arrested for allegedly luring students with false promises of providing the NEET re-examination paper through Telegram groups

Later in the day, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a high-level meeting to review preparedness for the NEET (UG) re-examination 2026 with a sharp focus on ensuring security, transparency, and student convenience following recent concerns over alleged paper leaks

The medical-entrance examination held on May 3 was cancelled amidst allegations of irregularities, leaving lakhs of aspirants in despair

 The re-test is scheduled to be held on June 21.
