The meeting was part of a broader diplomatic visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and highlighting India’s firm stance on global terrorism, particularly in the context of Operation Sindoor. The delegation, led by Kanimozhi, includes SP MP Rajeev Rai, NC MP Mian Altaf Ahmad, BJP MP Captain Brijesh Chowkta, RJD MP Prem Chand Gupta, AAP MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, former Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri, and NCP MP Jawed Ashraf

DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi was welcomed by India’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Vinay Kumar, upon her arrival at Moscow Domodedovo International Airport. Following the arrival of the all-party delegation, Ambassador Vinay Kumar briefed the members on various aspects of India-Russia bilateral relations

DMK MP Kanimozhi stated that the government has sent MPs from various political parties to different countries to share India’s firm stance on terrorism. She emphasized that the delegation’s engagement with Russia is part of a broader effort to present India’s position globally in regards of the repeated terror attacks the country has faced

Kanimozhi emphasized that Russia has long been a strategic partner to India, and  following the recent wave of terror attacks, it is crucial to strengthen diplomatic engagement

In a post on X, Kanimozhi stated that the All-Party Parliamentary Delegation conveyed to H.E. Mr. Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chair of the Committee on International Affairs, and other distinguished Russian senators, on India’s united and resolute stance against terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming the country’s national consensus and unwavering commitment to a zero-tolerance policy

After concluding their visit to Russia, the delegation is scheduled to travel to Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain as part of their continued diplomatic outreach
