President Maia Sandu described India as the world's largest democracy and a valued friend, welcoming President Murmu on the first-ever visit by an Indian Head of State to Moldova.
During a joint press conference, President Sandu said India and Moldova are united by the shared values of freedom, dignity and commitment to the welfare of their people despite their different sizes.
