As India is all set to take on England from June 20 under their captain Shubman Gill, the rivalry between Jasprit Bumrah and England's premier batsman Joe Root will serve as a mouth-watering contest
Bumrah, who delivered a stunning show in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, will look to replicate his heroics in the upcoming England series. In Australia, leading from the front, the pacer grabbed 32 wickets
On the other hand, Bumrah has tasted success in dismissing Root on nine occasions out of 24 innings
Whereas, Root has accumulated 286 runs against Bumrah and has smashed 36 fours in 559 balls. The right-hander has also faced 411 dot balls against Bumrah
The 34-year-old Root will also be chasing legendary Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 15,921 Test runs. Currently, the veteran of 153 Test matches has scored 13,006 runs and is in his red-hot form
