Having been put to bat first, CSK's captain Ruturaj Gaikwad departed after scoring 13 runs in nine balls, including two boundaries. Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson was also dismissed for 20 runs. His knock came in 20 balls, which included three boundaries (Pic: File Pic)

Later, Kartik Sharma delivered a stunning knock of 71 runs off 42 balls, laced with six boundaries and five maximums. Dewald Brevis managed to score 25 runs in 16 balls, with the help of two maximums. Shivam Dube and Prashant Veer smashed unbeaten knocks of 32 and 13 runs, respectively. Facing just 16 balls, Dube smashed three boundaries and two maximums, whereas Veer smashed a boundary in his 10-ball knock. Lucknow's Akash Singh showcased exceptional skills with the ball. Having completed his quota of four overs, he claimed three wickets by conceding 26 runs.
