Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by 27 runs as they marched to the top of the table in IPL.
Chasing 151 in 11 overs, the Mumbai Indians started slowly and lost early wickets. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya all departed early as RR cruised to a 27 runs win over the 5-time champions.
Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi started RR's innings with a bang, scoring 59 runs in the shortened powerplay of 3.2 overs. Jaiswal was the star for RR, scoring 77 runs in 32 balls to propel the hosts to a big score.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi enjoyed his battle against Jasprit Bumrah as he hit the Indian pacer for a six on the first ball. He went on to score 39 runs off 14 balls.
For the Mumbai Indians, Allah Ghazanfar was the star with the bowl, taking two wickets in his 2 overs. Bumrah was wicketless in his 3 overs, conceding 31 runs. Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first
