During the third T20I match against South Africa, Pakistan's premier batsman, Babar Azam, played a knock of 68 runs off 47 deliveries. His knock was laced with nine boundaries

With this, he surpassed Team India stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to become the player with the most 50-plus scores in the history of T20 Internationals (T20Is)

Currently, Babar has 40 half-centuries in 124 innings for the "Green Shirts" in the format's history

Virat Kohli (39 fifty-plus scores in 117 innings) and Rohit Sharma (37 fifty-plus scores in 151 innings) are second and third, respectively, on the list

The 31-year-old right-handed batsman has so far featured in 131 T20I matches for Pakistan, in which he has scored 4302 runs. His top score in the format is 122 runs, and also has three centuries. Babar also has 37 half-centuries and 40 fifty-plus scores to his name
