The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat side defeated Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on both the occasions during last year’s Indian Premier League, and this time the team will hope to do the same but it won’t be easy. In the absence of David Miller CSK will also look to put on a good show

With the presence of stars like Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan and David Miller, the team’s core is very strong. Afghanistan’s T20 skipper Rashid Khan will lead the Titans spin attack and will have Haryana all-rounder Rahul Tewatia also there for support

The three-format starter for India Shubman Gill has levelled up as a player. The form guide suggests that he would be one of the batters to watch out for not only in the team, but in the tournament as a whole

The franchise bought star all-rounder Ben Stokes at a whopping sum of INR 16.25 crore and he will have the responsibility to be the X-factor of the squad. Meanwhile, star CSK pacer Deepak Chahar, is back in the team this year to boost their bowling attack, who was ruled out due to a back injury last season

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's left knee injury has raised doubts over his participation in the IPL opener against Gujarat Titans. The 41-year-old former India skipper didn't bat at the CSK's net training session
