Arif Patel was born and grew up in Dubai from where he started his journey to success. Dubai is a well known city for economic growth and new ideas and growing up in such an environment was the major reason that Patel was extremely inspired by the opportunities in the global energy markets. He completed his early years in Dubai and then in 2010, he and his family went to Preston, UK, and settled there for future growth. Somehow, it was the start of his educational and career path. Arif Patel got his bachelor`s degree at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, where he learned a lot about business and engineering. In order to improve his skills, he went to Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and earned a master`s degree in Petroleum Engineering, a subject that is directly related to the energy business around the world.

Upon completing his education, Arif Patel founded Preston Trading in 2012. He started the company as a small venture, but under Patel’s leadership, it grew exponentially and has become a major player in oil and gas exploration and production. Preston Trading operates in oil and gas exploration and production, oilfield services, engineering and mining. Eventually, Patel showed his ability to identify opportunities in adjacent markets. With his in-depth technical knowledge and desire to become an entrepreneur, he has to lead his company through periods of industry volatility, ensuring steady growth while maintaining a commitment to innovation and sustainability.
