In 2023, New York City’s esteemed Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Centre for Theatre hosted a distinguished performative reading of “Chaos Theory”, a widely acclaimed play by the Indian playwright Anuvab Pal and Ary Satish was seen in the limelight, showcasing his exceptional skills before a completely sold-out audience.

The Laura Pels Theatre has been the site of numerous acclaimed productions. Notably, its inaugural performance was “Intimate Apparel,” starring Academy Award winner Viola Davis and directed by Obie Award winner Dan Sullivan. This event, produced by the prestigious Roundabout Theatre Company, was an Off-Broadway testament to the rich tapestry of South Asian narratives and talent gracing the American Stage. As a very successful and award-winning company, Roundabout Theatre Company has eleven Tony Awards, which is the highest honor in American Theatre, as well as multiple Obie Awards. One can even compare the prowess of the Tony Award to the likes of the Academy Awards for film.
