Cosmetic surgery in India has steadily entered the mainstream, with patients today more open about procedures ranging from rhinoplasty to body contouring. However, according to Dr. Lukesh Patil, a senior Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon with over 14 years of experience, acceptance alone isn’t enough; accurate information is still lagging.
“Cosmetic surgery is no longer taboo, but misinformation still is. What worries me is how casually complex medical procedures are being portrayed online,” Dr Patil.
