&ldquo;Balancing suspense and horror was the toughest part but that challenge made the film unforgettable,&rdquo; says the director.
&nbsp;Director Nitin Vaidya opens up about his upcoming film Kaal Trigori, a supernatural thriller-horror starring Arbaaz Khan and Rituparna Sengupta. The film is all set to release on November 14. Writer-director Nitin talks about the experience of directing such a dark and emotionally charged narrative.
Speaking about his on-set experience, Nitin Vaidya shared, &ldquo;Working on Kaal Trigori was a wonderful and fulfilling journey. Despite the film&rsquo;s dark and emotionally charged story, the set was filled with creativity and collaboration. Our team focused on understanding the emotional depth behind fear how even something as ordinary as a ringing phone could evoke joy or terror. This exploration of contrasts made the experience deeply engaging.&rdquo;
Opening up about his vision behind the film&rsquo;s tone and style, he said, &ldquo;I wanted to create a world that evokes imagination and mystery. The visuals - from the eerie mansion and black cat to the dark cellar and rocking chair were all chosen deliberately to intrigue the audience. My vision was to build a connection between myth, mystery, and human curiosity.&rdquo;
Talking about the creative and technical challenges, Vaidya shared, &ldquo;Balancing suspense and horror was one of the toughest aspects of making Kaal Trigori. While handling each genre individually would have been simpler, blending both required precision and patience. My aim was to make the film equally compelling for fans of both genres those who love a gripping mystery and those who seek spine-chilling horror.&rdquo;
Sharing insights on guiding the cast through emotionally intense scenes, he said, &ldquo;My approach depended entirely on the emotion and context of each shot. Since the film wasn&rsquo;t shot sequentially, I had to guide the actors carefully through their emotional arcs without revealing key suspense points. The result was a set of powerful performances that truly heightened the film&rsquo;s tension.&rdquo;
Speaking about his expectations from the audience, Vaidya said, &ldquo;I hope viewers experience both fear and curiosity while watching Kaal Trigori. Drawing inspiration from real-life incidents that I later fictionalized, my goal was to blur the line between horror and suspense. I want audiences to leave the theater questioning what they just witnessed - whether it was horror or a psychological thriller.&rdquo;
The film also features Aditya Srivastava, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rajesh Sharma, and Mugdha Godse. It is produced by Shirish Vaidya, Nitin Ghataliya, and Mansukh Talsaniya, with Rahul Vaidya serving as the executive producer.
