Lessons from the IBDP that still guide me 25 years later

It’s been over 25 years since I completed the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), but its impact continues to shape me every day. That experience didn’t just prepare me for university; it built the foundation for how I approach every aspect of my personal and professional life. The program’s rigour, structure and emphasis on independent thinking turned me from a curious teenager into a driven, self-aware adult. The program taught me skills that no textbook could: managing time, staying resilient under pressure, and finding clarity through research and reflection amongst others.
