The coming into force of the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) marks far more than the signing of another free trade agreement. It represents a strategic milestone in India's economic journey, one that strengthens our global competitiveness, accelerates innovation and opens new avenues for collaboration in sectors that will define the country's future, particularly healthcare, education and advanced manufacturing.

From an Indian business perspective, this agreement should be viewed not merely through the lens of tariff reductions but as a long-term investment in India's knowledge economy. It reinforces India's ambition to become a global hub for innovation, research, manufacturing and skilled talent while deepening partnerships with one of the world's leading centres of education, healthcare and technology.
