Renowned Indian artist Swati Ghosh recently received the esteemed Diplome de Medaille detain from the Arts-Sciences-Lettres (ASL) Society in Paris, marking a significant achievement for India. Ghosh was the sole Indian recognized at the October 6, 2024, award ceremony, bringing pride to her country through her contributions to art. The ASL award, one of France’s most prestigious honors, celebrates individuals advancing culture in art, literature, and science.
Founded in 1915 by Rene Flament, the ASL Society recognizes individuals whose creative work enhances culture’s influence worldwide. This year’s recognition of Ghosh emphasizes the increasing global prominence of Indian artists.
