With the launch of the BUILD Bharat Tour Phase 1, advancements in CBDCs, and tools that empower developers, the company is quietly but steadily expanding its role in blockchain adoption.
We spoke with Mrityunjaya Prajapati, CEO of Kalp Studio, to understand the vision for 2025, the challenges ahead, and how the platform is balancing innovation with practicality.
1. BUILD Bharat Tour Phase 1 kicked off in January 2025. What can we expect from it this year?
The first hackathon of BUILD Bharat Phase 1 was successfully held on January 3rd and 4th, 2025, in Vadodara (Parul Hack Verse). It was an incredible start, with hundreds of students and developers showcasing their skills and ideas. Seeing the energy and innovation at the event has set the tone for what&rsquo;s ahead.
We also held events in Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Dehradun in January. Our goal is to share blockchain knowledge not just with engineering colleges, but also with startups and professionals to contribute to building a new India.
This year, we aim to reach 21 states and upskill 100,000 students and engineers, continuing our focus on bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications of blockchain technology.

2. Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) seem to be a major focus for Kalp Studio in 2025. Why is this important?
CBDCs are not just a technical shift; they represent a fundamental change in how economies function. We&rsquo;re working with governments and financial institutions to build ecosystems that prioritize compliance, security, and scalability.
One thing we&rsquo;re focusing on is user control-giving individuals and institutions better visibility and management of their digital currency. At the same time, we&rsquo;re ensuring interoperability so that these systems can integrate with existing financial infrastructure.
It&rsquo;s a space that&rsquo;s evolving rapidly, and there are challenges, especially around regulations. But it&rsquo;s exciting to be part of something that has such a tangible impact on people&rsquo;s lives.
3. Kalp Studio offers a range of enterprise solutions. What are the key areas of focus this year?
Enterprise solutions are where blockchain goes beyond theory and becomes real. This year, we&rsquo;re honing in on areas like:

For us, it&rsquo;s about listening to what businesses need and meeting them where they are. Blockchain doesn&rsquo;t have to be overwhelming-it can be practical and effective when done right.
4. Developers are central to your platform. What&rsquo;s Kalp Studio doing to support them in 2025?

<li>Decentralized Finance (DeFi) - DeFi tools are maturing, and I think we&rsquo;ll see more use cases that focus on financial inclusion.</li>
<li>Hybrid Cloud Models - These will give enterprises more control without adding complexity.</li>

It&rsquo;s not about chasing trends for the sake of it. For us, it&rsquo;s about finding what works and delivering real value-whether that&rsquo;s through BUILD Bharat or tools for developers and enterprises.
Your personal and professional resolutions for 2025?
Professionally, I want to keep things grounded. Blockchain is an exciting space, but it&rsquo;s also easy to get carried away. My focus is on staying practical and solving real problems.
Personally, I want to spend more time engaging with our community. Some of the best ideas come from unexpected conversations, and I don&rsquo;t want to miss out on that.
