Throughout history, civilizations across the world have flourished around water bodies such as lakes ponds, and rivers. These water resources play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance, supporting the earth’s water cycle, in rainwater, harvesting, regulating the atmosphere, and protection of multiple species. Water bodies are integral part of our culture and heritage.

Our ancestors constructed and nurtured lakes around their settlements to store rainwater, provide irrigation for agriculture, and meet domestic water needs.
