Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project will make both the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan ‘Sujalam-Sufalam’. The Memorandum of Agreement that has been signed here today between Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the Central Government is not a general agreement; it will be something to remember for several decades to come. For this, the Government of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and the public all deserve congratulations. He expressed hope that work on the project would continue uninterruptedly and the project would be completed before time.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the programme marking the completion of one year of the Rajasthan Government's tenure and the tripartite agreement ceremony for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project in Jaipur on Tuesday. The event was graced by the presence of Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri CR Patil and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. During the ceremony, the Memorandum of Agreement for the project was signed by representatives of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the Central Government in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Modi. As a symbolic gesture, Prime Minister Modi poured water from a kalash containing water from the Chambal River into a larger kalash. He was then handed a kalash containing water from the Kalisindh River by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and another containing water from the Parvati River by Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, which he also poured into the same larger kalash, signifying the unity and collaboration between the states and the Center for the successful implementation of the project.
