SAU launches new UG, PG and PhD programs for 2026–27, including Journalism, Business Analytics, Law and Quantum Computing.

South Asian University (SAU), Maidangarhi, New Delhi, has launched postgraduate programs in MA in Journalism and Digital Media and MS in Business Analytics from the 2026-27 academic session. The university has launched new PhD programmes in Management, Climate Change, English, and Chemistry to strengthen research. A cutting-edge specialization in Quantum Computing has also been introduced under B.Tech. CSE, enabling the university to play a leading role in the field of new technologies, said Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, President, SAU.
Addressing a press conference on the university campus, Prof. Aggarwal said that SAU, founded by the governments of SAARC countries and based on the vision of "Knowledge Without Borders," is entering its 16th academic year. To mark this occasion, several new academic programmes have been launched for the 2026-27 session. This year, the university has opened admissions for a total of 1,610 seats, including 50 PhD scholarship seats, 780 undergraduate and 780 postgraduate programme seats.
The university has launched BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) programmes at the undergraduate level, further strengthening the university's strong presence in legal education. Additionally, a BA (Hons.) in Media, Arts and Design programme has been launched, which aims to develop creativity, critical thinking, and digital communication skills.
SAU's Vice President - Academic, Prof. Pankaj Jain, said that the university offers courses focused on advanced technology specialisations, interdisciplinary studies, management education, social sciences, climate change, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Director of Admissions, Prof. Kavita Khanna, informed that the last date for applications is April 10, 2026, and the entrance examination will be held on April 25 and 26, 2026.
