Arsenal of the Gods is a book that blends mythology, history and present. It is the debut novel of the author, Ajeet Pratap Singh who has masterfully created a world of mysteries, riddles and unthinkable dangers. The book is published by one of the country’s leading publishing houses, Om Books International and represented by one of India’s biggest literary agencies, The Book Bakers.
This epic mythological thriller is about race against time to save the world from annihilation. The antagonist is preparing to launch the most catastrophic weapon from Hindu mythology to end the human race. But before that he has to find the weapon which is kept hidden in pieces in secret locations of various ancient and forgotten mysterious temples. And to locate these temples, riddles written in Sanskrit must be decoded but not everybody can decipher them.
When asked about the inception of this idea, a smiling Ajeet said, “I completed my engineering from one of the oldest engineering institutes of our country, HBTU Kanpur and started working with FMCG giants like Cadbury, ITC and Nestle. My initial roles required me to come in shifts and one day after a very hectic night shift I woke up from a nightmare. The nightmare was about being on the roof of the factory without knowing why and then falling from there, so basically the scene from first chapter of the book. At that time I was already researching about ancient weapons. So that’s where it all started back in 2012-13”.
“Isn’t it intriguing that there is no mention of where all the mighty weapons vanished after the great wars of Ramayan and Mahabhaarat! What if all the weapons were kept hidden at someplace away from our reach but somehow we came to know of the location, what would happen then?”
“Ajeet has brought together ancient weaponry with modern imagery leading to a powerful narrative that hooks the readers from the beginning till the end. The moment we read the script, we knew we had a winner on our hands,” says noted literary agent Suhail Mathur, from The Book Bakers Literary Agency, who sold the book to Om Books International.

We tried asking Ajeet about concept of next two books in the trilogy, he just smiled mischievously and said, “The first book is about only one weapon. The second and third parts will have many and the risk will increase multifold”.
